A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Revisited)
By Douglas Raymond Rose

The Ghost of Christmas Past——
Has visited Ebenezer as a young boy—-
Sweet Scrooge turned into mercenary Scrooge
No more filled with Love, Laughter and Joy.

The Ghost of Christmas Present—–
Seems to be with Scrooge— unpleased
Greed and pride have overwhelmed him
—-His heart is terminally quite diseased.

The Ghost of Christmas Future—–
Sadly knows old Scrooge all too well;
He sees himself for who he really is
—–Not bound for Heaven but H—-.

But now Scrooge’s soul is celebrating
No more grit and greed for him—-
He’s so filled with Christmas Cheer
—-He gives away everything he can.

So heed these ancient ghostly specters
Listen to Christ’s great Christmas Call—
Let’s all join with Scrooge and Tiny Tim
—-And God Bless Us—- one and all!
