Daniel Barbare Debuts

Savanna
By Danny Barbare

Self
There
is
always
that
someone
who
can
turn
one
around
with
a
hug
without
a
word
like
that
little
girl
that
turned
a
cloudy
day
to
blue
sky.

Shopping for Shoes

One
box
by
one
she
shops
for
shoes
a
pair
that
fits
patiently
happily
are
we.

The Janitor

Kept
in
the
light
thoughts
so
friendly
and
likeable
as
if
to
believe
says
the
janitor
humming
along
with
the
gym
lights
as
he
dust
mops.
