Given star dust for glitter

children innocent

in their miniature arts and craft use small scissors to cut snowflakes

out of designs in folds, corners of white paper;

edges creased to little adolescent perfection; discovery

in their widening eyes; collecting and attaching a permanency

to their work; glue as white as the cow mooing giving milk; milk

white mooing glued permanent; attached collecting wide eyes

discovering adolescent perfection; creased edges,

white paper folds, corners of snowflakes;

scissor cuts, arts and crafts miniaturized;

children innocent in their glitter

star dust, given.

The ruse

calls for a pigeon to deflect attention a diversion of sorts not too

unusual just the average all day sucker someone simple tender

minded average intelligence perfect con to con a con

We could have been

happy together you

and I, but instead of

happiness we,

no you opted for tolerance

of me being tolerant of the intolerable indiscretions,

so indiscrete, so easy to notice, so now we notice,

of our union, of our happiness,

no, your happiness;

my presence.
