Laura Zucca Scott

I still believe

Hurt

After hurt

Scorching the new grass

Storm

And lighting

Chasing the wary thunder

Love

Without end

Soothing the old pain

Wounds

Made invisible

Like the sun in the darkest night

By the ocean I wait

For the rain to stop

And I still believe

Stealing the Light

A world shattered in

Broken promises

And missed chances

A majestic sunset

Painting wars

In the skies

Prometheus cries

In a time that has forgotten

The price of dignity

Journeys seemed easy

With endless days

And hope in every step

Now we rejoice

Stealing the fading light

Over seas of gold
